IMPORTANCE OF RECYCLING

Paper and cardboard recycling is one of the most important recycling practices that every business can take advantage of. For each tonne of paper and cardboard recycled it saves;

17 TREES

370 LITRES OF OIL

26,460 LITRES OF WATER

We work with our clients to determine the best collection strategy for your business and for the environment.

We understand that not every business can separate their waste streams due to available space or the volume of waste. Where possible, our team can work with you to implement on site Paper & Cardboard Recycling as a separate waste stream. If this is not possible, don’t worry, because mixed General Waste will be collected by our truck and taken to our Lab for processing. This will ensure your waste and recycling is managed the right way.

OUR RECYCLING PROCESS

All mixed paper and cardboard is collected and delivered to our Lab in Fairfield East. To eliminate any potential contamination, we process the material removing any non fibre based material, prior to compacting. This quality control process ensures a high value  recovered product for our buyers.

The compacted bales are then transported to our long term buyer, the Orora Group. Based in Botany, the Orora Group is a global company that specialises in paper and cardboard  reprocessing for the manufacture of packaging.

In line with our commitment to sustainability, Doyle Bros has proudly partnered with the Orora Group to ensure that all recycled material is reused in Australia unlike many of our competitors who transfer their recyclable waste to offshore markets to increase profitability.
